As the Lead Teacher in a multi-session classroom serving 12 to 20 preschool-aged children, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and supporting families. Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool-aged children in accordance with Head Start standards.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families, promoting family engagement and partnerships.
• Coordinate with community resources and services to support children’s and families’ needs.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assessments, and ongoing monitoring of child progress.
• Participate in self-assessment and continuous improvement activities for the classroom and program.
• Supervise and support classroom staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool-aged children.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist children as needed throughout the day.
• Successful completion of a physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
