Industrial Designer

Ledge is seeking an Industrial Designer who combines creative exploration, strong visual communication and practical manufacturing awareness. This role helps shape products from early concept through design-intent lock and into production, creating experiences that are innovative, beautiful and unmistakably Ledge. The Industrial Designer collaborates closely with the Industrial Design core team, Engineering and other product-development partners to create the best products in and around the pool.

Key responsibilities include exploring early product ideas through sketching, 3D CAD and physical prototyping, refining the user experience through disciplined iteration, developing design-intent CAD and providing a complete, accurate handoff to Engineering, partnering with Engineering throughout design for manufacture, delivering design work, decisions and handoffs according to agreed project timelines and quality expectations, presenting concepts and recommendations clearly to the core team and cross-functional partners, using sketches, CAD models, prototypes and other visual tools to communicate concepts, decisions and design details throughout the development process, and continuously strengthening knowledge of materials, manufacturing capabilities and product-development practices, then applying that learning to future work.

What success looks like includes creating user delight through thoughtful, innovative design solutions, producing beautiful, brand-right products with a strong point of view, delivering innovative and aesthetically compelling design work on time, collaborating effectively with the core team and cross-functional partners, and balancing curiosity and coachability with appropriate leadership for the role level.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of portfolio strength and relevant experience, a portfolio demonstrating strong concept development, form exploration, user-centered thinking and products advanced toward manufacture, proficiency in 3D CAD, design visualization and sketch-based communication, ability to create and evaluate prototypes at the appropriate level of fidelity for the project phase, working knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, with an eagerness to deepen technical understanding, strong presentation, collaboration and feedback-integration skills, sound judgment, attention to detail and consistent follow-through in a deadline-driven product environment, and ability to work on-site in Katy, Texas and collaborate closely with Design, Engineering and Manufacturing partners.
