Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments by reviewing patients’ medical histories and consulting with them to understand their physical condition and symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and craft individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring function and improving mobility.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, such as therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and functional movement training.
• Educate patients on the correct application of therapeutic exercises and use of assistive devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers.
• Implement modalities such as massage or electrical stimulation to promote healing and alleviate pain.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress towards treatment goals, and modifying treatment plans as required.
• Provide guidance for at-home treatment options to enhance recovery and educate families on support techniques.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to share insights and ensure holistic patient evaluations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse patient groups, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, and those managing chronic pain. Our focus is on creating individualized programs that align with each patient's unique needs and objectives, fostering an environment that encourages independence and self-efficacy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; advanced coursework or a Master's Degree is preferred.
• A valid state Physical Therapy license is essential for practice.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Orthopedic Therapy is necessary for success in this role.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients are critical.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic word processing capabilities are expected.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly with post-operative patients or those with musculoskeletal disorders, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques such as myofascial release, dry needling, or Kinesio taping is a plus.
