The therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating children. We are seeking an experienced clinician to work approximately 10 hours per week at a private clinic in Fairlawn, New Jersey. The ideal candidate has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As an Occupational Therapist, individuals will be responsible for providing center-based occupational therapy for children with autism while working collaboratively with a team of BCBAs and Behavior Technicians. SIGN ON BONUS!!!! $1,500 for Full time and $500 for Part Time Responsibilities Providing occupational therapy and training to team members and families. Conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and monitoring progress of each child. Demonstrate comprehensive evaluation skills and interventions, including evaluating effectiveness and modifying plan of care as appropriate. Maintain and complete evaluations, patient records, reports and all written documentation effectively and in a timely manner, in accordance with regulatory and department guidelines. Maintain friendly, cordial relationships with all clients and employees. Effectively communicate with patients and/or families/significant others, providing education and literature in accordance with the patient’s age, physical condition and cultural needs. Adhere to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA. Develop treatment plans by identifying needs, determining long- and short-term goals, and methods to achieve success. Provide counseling to parents and offer carryover strategies. Work daytime school hours and one evening hour as required. Requirements Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program. Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of New Jersey. Experience in pediatrics. Ability to counsel parents and provide carryover strategies. Job Type & Compensation Part‑time (10 hours per week) with flexibility for 4‑ or 8‑hour shifts. Pay: $68.00 - $75.00 per hour. Expected hours: 10 per week. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time.
