We are seeking an Director of Service / General Dining Manager who brings both deep expertise and genuine hospitality — someone who can lead a high-caliber team of Sommeliers and service professionals, steward an exceptional luxury club experience, and build lasting relationships with a discerning membership. THE ROLE Position Details Compensation: $110,000–$135,000 base + performance-based bonus Benefits: Medical, dental, 401(k) with match, PTO, STO, and travel expenses Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt Schedule: Variable; includes evenings and weekends as needed for special events or business demands Reports To: Executive Director / Executive Chef Direct Reports: Associate Director of Service, Service Managers, Service Captains, Support Staff, Bar Staff KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide active direction and oversight of the FOH team during AM and PM meal service periods. Maintain FOH MOD assignments when away from club service areas and communicate to FOH staff. Weekly and daily review, planning, and execution of Club Programming and Private Event BEOs. Preparation of daily shift notes and lead an efficient and effective daily pre-shift meeting. Maintenance and distribution of up-to-date food and beverage training materials. Maintenance and distribution of up-to-date FOH side work sheets. Oversees adherence to company standards of service, production, employee productivity, product quality, uniforms and grooming, club cleanliness, and other FOH SOPs. Ensures full compliance with TABC Safe Alcohol Service standards and credentials. Provides performance-related feedback, coaching, and FOH employee development. Delivery and documentation of coaching and progressive disciplinary action for FOH employees. Creates, maintains, and audits fully compliant FOH employee files. Prepares bi-weekly payroll, weekly FOH financials, and tip share spreadsheets. Management and timely distribution of weekly FOH staff schedule. Maintains weekly FOH labor spend within budgetary guidelines. Oversees service-related SOPs to maintain BTG wine, liquor, and beer COGS within budgetary guidelines. Troubleshoots service issues, FOH systems, and other operational problems with General Manager. Coordinates recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training of new FOH staff. IDEAL CANDIDATE 5+ years of progressive hospitality leadership, including 3–5+ years as a General Manager / AGM / Service Manager or equivalent senior role in a fine dining / upscale dining / hotel / private club dining environment. Proven P&L ownership, strong team-building instincts, and a track record of exceptional member or guest experience. Familiarity with wine program management and an appreciation for wine culture are meaningful assets.
