This leadership role involves overseeing nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, evidence-based care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. The supervisor will support RNs and Medical Assistants with a focus on Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and outpatient maternal care, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement./ppWhy Choose IU Health?/ppComprehensive Benefits: 401(k) with employer match, tuition reimbursement, student loan forgiveness, Employee Assistance Program./ppWellness Rewards: Participate in health and wellness programs earning incentives that boost your paycheck./ppProfessional Growth: Leadership development, ongoing education, and pediatric specialty training./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliProvide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to RNs and Medical Assistants within the Maternal Fetal Medicine clinics./liliSupport and oversee clinical care delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices, policies, and procedures./liliCoordinate staffing schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to optimize patient care and operational efficiency./liliServe as a resource for clinical problem-solving, staff development, and workflow improvements./liliManage supply ordering, inventory, and conduct audits to meet regulatory and accreditation standards./liliFacilitate MFM pre-procedure preparation, patient education, and ensure smooth clinic operations./liliSupport and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement aligned with IU Healths mission, vision, and values./liliAssist with personnel management, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives./liliEnsure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including adherence to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliRequires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA./liliOther advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies./liliRequires an Associates of Nursing (ASN)./liliBachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred./liliRequires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program./liliRequires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license./liliTwo years experience preferred./liliMinimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Labor Delivery, or antepartum care./liliPrior charge nurse or leadership experience preferred./liliKnowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies./liliRequires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner./liliRequires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse./li/ulpJoin IU Health and make a meaningful impact in maternal health.
