Job TitleJob Description General Role Provide technical support in the development and production of military soft goods such as upholstery, cushions and parachutes. Specific ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and development of aircraft and military vehicle seating upholstery and cushionsTrain Production department leads in the operation of these industrial sewing machines: Binding machine, Serger, Walking Foot, Double Needle, Class 7 and Zig ZagEstablish time standardsDevelop flat patterns and templates for soft goodsWork with quality to resolve production issues and ensure customer satisfactionAble to read and interpret engineering drawings as they pertain to sewingDevelop processes for cutting and bonding non-rigid polyurethane foamsProgram fabric cutters and sewing machinesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Required Skills2+ years of manufacturing experienceSewing knowledgeMilitary standards for sewing materialsManufacturing using contact adhesivesProgramming lasers and CNC fabric cutters using CAD software (i.e. Creo, PTC, AutoCAD)Experience building and maintaining toolingTroubleshoot mechanical issues and adjust machine parametersExperience setting up and operating industrial sewing machinesReading and interpreting blueprints / engineering drawingsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred SkillsAssociates DegreeDemonstrated ability in Microsoft Excel to perform entry-level calculationsDemonstrated ability in CAD or other programming applications to perform develop patterns and templatesExperience with LEAN Manufacturing PrinciplesCommitment to developing talentPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $79327 - $126924 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
