Warehouse Team LeadPeopleshare has an opening with a client in Runnemede, NJ for a Warehouse Team Lead. Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a high volume/variation Distribution or Manufacturing environment. Location: Runnemede, NJ 08078 Duration: 3 month contract-to-hire Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Pay: $20-24/hrPurpose of Position: The purpose of this role is to work with fellow coworkers to assist them in training and growing with the company; as well as working with new hires to complete their requirements for the Warehouse Level 1 as well as training Level 1 to become a Level 2. This role requires learning all positions within the entire Warehouse. Suggest process improvements and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Summary: Maintains performance of warehouse operations within a specified zone including, adherence to the highest level of safety and housekeeping, commitment to employee technical training, focus on order processing accuracy, coordination of order and material flow, achievement of productivity goals and proactive involvement in identification of employee issues and communicating them in a timely manner. Must effectively communicate expectations with assigned team members and coach for success. Works hands on to push order flow and to remove bottlenecks.Responsibilities:Participate in safety rules and set "safety first" tone for self and teamTrain employees to follow standard work / SOP'sEnsure workplace is always organized and clean (clean as you go)Communicate openly and respectfully with all Warehouse Associates to increase engagementParticipate in the Interview process for new co-workers and provide input into co-worker performance evaluationsEnsure tools, materials and equipment used in assigned zone is ready for the shiftSupports communication process for shift start and daily/weekly team meetingsAddress basic performance issues and escalates to management when coaching doesn't produce change in behaviorMust comply with and promote compliance with HR policy including (attendance, general work rules, respect in the workplace and respect for workplace diversity)Ability to work in all positions within the entire Warehouse.Key personal attributes:Must possess a work style that blends operational excellence, customer satisfaction and teamwork consistent with a high-performance culture.Must have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to foster positive relationships with your fellow coworkers.Proven to have high and positive energy and the ability to drive for results and to set a high pace for self and peers in an engaging manner.Adaptable to changing priorities and warehouse demands.Dependable presence with the ability to work independently and assist others.Key skills:Must be able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.Proficient use of warehouse systems, product labeling, build pallets & basic warehouse tools.Operational knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse safety standards.Drive to support and train peers in warehouse processes.Experience/Education:High School diploma or GEDMust have basic computer skills.Must have at least 2-3 years of experience working in a high volume/variation Distribution or Manufacturing environment.Experience in environments focused on continuous improvement and performance metrics.Forklift experience preferred (stand up forklift and cherry picker)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, reach, and climb a ladder for most of the shift to perform job duties accurately.Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and must be able to perform computer work from a standing position.
