In accordance with VA policy and applicable union requirements and recommendations for Title 38 clinical positions, current facility employees must receive first consideration before a hiring manager selects an external applicant.

To support this requirement, all positions are posted internally to facility employees throughout the year. This announcement does not indicate that a vacancy currently exists. If a vacancy becomes available in this occupation or specialty, applications will be reviewed and eligible applicants may be referred to the hiring manager for consideration.

Applicants will be notified if and when their application advances to the next stage of the recruitment process. Certain positions and specialties may be eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), which provides reimbursement for qualifying student loans. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

Duty Location and Specialty Selection

This announcement may be used to fill multiple positions. When applying, you must select at least one duty location and specialty for which you wish to be considered. You may select multiple duty locations and specialties.

You will be considered only for the duty locations and specialties selected in your application. There may be no current vacancies when you apply; however, eligible applicants may be considered for future vacancies that arise before the announcement closes.

Work Schedule: Various work schedules available. Some positions may require rotating call coverage, weekdays, nights, weekends and/or holidays. The supervisor will determine the actual work schedule (FT, PT, Intermittent & the specific work shift) upon selection based on the needs of the organization.
