We are growing our maintenance team and are looking for an *experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our Pottstown, PA location.*

*Job Summary*

The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the company's trailer fleet. The ideal candidate has experience working on heavy-duty trailers and takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and keeping equipment reliable and road-ready.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance (PMs) on trailers and related equipment.
* Inspect trailers to identify mechanical, electrical, structural, and safety-related issues.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose trailer maintenance and repair needs.
* Perform brake repairs, brake adjustments, tire changes, and drum replacements.
* Inspect, repair, and replace suspension components, lighting, wiring, and other trailer systems.
* Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems as needed.
* Perform welding and fabrication repairs when necessary.
* Inspect trailer frames, floors, doors, fittings, and other structural components for damage or wear.
* Order necessary replacement parts and ensure repairs are completed properly and efficiently.
* Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and safe performance.
* Complete all repairs in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
* Accurately complete maintenance records and required paperwork, including documentation of parts used and repair time.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
* Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Communicate effectively with management regarding trailer condition, repairs, parts needs, and additional maintenance concerns.
* Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

*Qualifications & Skills*

* Previous experience as a trailer, truck, diesel, or fleet mechanic preferred.
* Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
* Knowledge of trailer brakes, tires, suspension systems, electrical systems, and general heavy-duty trailer maintenance.
* Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
* Class A CDL highly preferred.
* Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a maintenance team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to prioritize work and complete repairs efficiently.
* Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
