Accounting Specialist

Our client is a leading law firm based in New York City. They are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the team on a Temp-to-Perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The position is fully on site at their beautiful Downtown Manhattan office. Job Details Coordinate Annual and Quarterly filings Assist with preparation and management of budgets Prepare financial statements and coordinate audits Ensure proper expense coding and compliance Review and post journal entries to General Ledger Report, research, and correct variances Execute general account reconciliations Pay Rate: $40-60 per hour, based on experience Time Commitment: Long term temporary position with potential to go perm Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required – preferred major in Finance, Accounting, or similar 5+ years’ Accounting experience at a Law Firm Must have experience with account reconciliations and strong knowledge of US GAAP Precise, detail-oriented, and good with numbers Must be extremely proficient in Excel Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Strong verbal and written communicator with excellent follow-through #J-18808-Ljbffr Gainor Staffing
