Construction General Laborer

We are hiring a Construction General Laborer to support the Superintendent and project team on a school renovation project. This position will focus on site cleanup, punch list completion, and general jobsite support as the project ramps up and progresses toward completion in November, with potential for additional projects after this.

Responsibilities

• Perform general site cleanup including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining organized work areas.
• Assist with punch list items such as minor repairs, touch-ups, and project closeout tasks.
• Support the Superintendent with daily jobsite needs and coordination.
• Move and stage materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
• Assist various trades by keeping work areas clean and accessible.
• Perform light construction tasks including basic demolition, patching, and material handling.
• Maintain safe jobsite conditions and follow all safety protocols.
• Help prepare areas for inspections and final walkthroughs.

• General labor experience around construction sites.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction, carpentry, and demolition.
• OSHA 10 certification.

• Previous construction or general labor experience preferred.
• Experience with site cleanup, finish work, or punch list work is a plus.
• Ability to follow direction and work closely with the team, detail-oriented, and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in an active construction environment.

This role offers a great opportunity to work on a steady prevailing wage project directly with site leadership and multiple trades. You will have the chance to see the project through to completion and potentially continue with future jobs.

Work Environment

The work environment is an active renovation project within an occupied or partially occupied school setting. It involves a combination of indoor and outdoor work depending on the project phase, in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple trades.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rolla, MO.

The pay range for this position is $48.49 - $48.49/hr.
