Loan Officer Assistant

Basic Description The Loan Officer Assistant will assist & support their Senior Mortgage Banker(s) (SMB) in the origination of residential real estate loans. This role is critical in facilitating data processing, analyzing documents necessary to qualify and submit client files to the Operations Department. The Assistant works hand in hand with the SMB to follow protocol, offering and developing a timely & efficient workflow to maximize and prioritize every aspect of origination support activities. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines is imperative. Responsibilities Support & collaborate with all Flat Branch Operations Staff (Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post-Closing, Shipping and Secondary). Establish & implement marketing strategies to drive business development, build strong client relationships, and support the Senior Mortgage Banker in building strong realtor and client relationships. Manage Top of Mind functions (data entry, campaign facilitation, emails, phone calls, letters and other necessary tasks). Create, implement, and manage procedures to maximize team efficiency and provide tools for success (pipeline progression and workflow). Gather, analyze, upload and label all necessary documentation into the Encompass e-folder. Follow up timely on critical documents from clients to facilitate closing. Data entry, facilitate credit pulls, run DU/LP and GUS through LOS. Set appointments and organize business-related gatherings. Enhance relationships with clients and strategic referral partners via marketing documents. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications & Skills Experience with mortgage loans (required). Technical proficiencies with various software programs (desired). Extreme attention to detail. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Self‑starter / self‑motivator. Ability to multi‑task. Willingness to learn quickly while meeting deadlines. Comfortable sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods. Occasional travel may be required. Strong organizational skills to juggle tasks and deadlines.
