Corporate Accounting & Financial Systems Manager

Compensation: $135,000–$145,000 Base + Bonus Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days In Office The Opportunity If you're the person who naturally asks, \"There has to be a better way to do this,\" this role is worth a look. Our client is looking for an accounting leader who enjoys improving systems just as much as managing accounting operations. Over the next year and a half, the company will be replacing its ERP platform, creating a unique opportunity for someone who wants to influence how accounting functions for years to come. Rather than inheriting a mature system, you'll help shape it—from evaluating current processes to partnering with IT and leadership on the design, testing, and rollout of a modern cloud-based ERP solution. Where You'll Make an Impact You’ll serve as the bridge between Accounting and Technology, ensuring accounting processes are efficient, scalable, and built with the future in mind. Key areas of focus include: Leading the accounting team's involvement throughout an enterprise ERP implementation Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve workflow efficiency Enhancing reconciliations, financial controls, and reporting processes Collaborating with IT and business leaders to ensure accounting requirements are built into new systems Managing a team of accounting professionals while helping prioritize work, remove roadblocks, and support professional growth Driving continuous improvement across accounting operations rather than simply maintaining the status quo What Makes Someone Successful This role is best suited for someone who enjoys solving problems beyond debits and credits. The ideal person has experience asking questions like: How can this process be automated? Why are we doing this manually? Can the system handle this differently? Is there a better control or workflow? They're comfortable discussing accounting with Controllers one minute and system functionality with IT the next. We're less focused on industry and more interested in experience. Successful candidates typically bring: A strong foundation in corporate accounting Experience leading or playing a significant role in an ERP implementation, upgrade, or major systems enhancement Exposure to reconciliation platforms like BlackLine or similar tools Experience improving accounting processes through automation or technology Leadership experience, whether through direct people management or major cross-functional initiatives The ability to balance day-to-day accounting responsibilities while driving strategic projects Candidates coming from smaller or mid-sized organizations often stand out because they've had broader ownership across accounting systems and business processes.
