Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Maryville, TN

Job Type: Contract

Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry assignment. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring and acute medical care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, cardiac monitoring skills, and the ability to care for higher-acuity medical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required Qualifications

Active Tennessee RN License Required
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Current NIHSS Certification
Minimum 1 Year of Recent MS/Tele Experience
Minimum 1 Year of Epic EMR Experience Required
First-Time Travelers Considered Based on Experience
Experience with Adult and Geriatric Patient Populations

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely.
Provide care for patients with medical, cardiac, neurological, and renal conditions.
Assist with post-heart catheterization patient care.
Participate in bedside procedures and patient monitoring.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Float to similar units when required based on staffing needs.
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
