Registered Nurse (RN) - Unit Manager

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Manager NICU

Full-time evening shift (2 PM - 10 PM) with some flexibility; potential for 4-10 hour shifts.

Requirements:

• BSN required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role in an acute care setting
• Specialty certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license
• BLS; ACLS preferred
• NRP preferred; RNC-OB preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of daily functions and staffing of the NICU.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Support efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.
• Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining a superior patient experience.
• Identify development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams.

Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week

Contract Length: 13 weeks
