Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity at a specialized learning environment near Hanover, PA, offers you the chance to work onsite as a Special Education Teacher for an Extended School Year (ESY) assignment, with the potential to continue into the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field required
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and caregivers
• Commitment to student growth, inclusion, and differentiated instruction

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with a variety of learning needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans as needed
• Foster an inclusive and safe classroom environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and actively participate in staff meetings
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administrators

Assignment Details:

• Onsite role supporting ESY program, working with students from July 8th to July 30th, 2026 (Monday-Thursday, approx. 8:15am-11:45am each day)
• Attend staff inservice on July 7th, 2026
• Possibility for a full academic year extension (2026/2027) with standard school hours (7:45am-3:15pm)
