Locum Tenens: Cardiovascular Surgery APP Opportunity in Eastern Idaho

A medical center in eastern Idaho has an opening for a Cardiovascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.

Opening Details:

• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
• Duties: Inpatient rounding and surgical assist
• Must be able to harvest veins for surgery and assist in the OR
• Support Staff: Nursing Staff, 1 APP, and 3 Surgeons
• EMR: Meditech
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Idaho Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• One year of work experience as Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• One year of Epic experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Requirements:

• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
