CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER (PART TIME)

Job Summary The role includes operating the POS system, assisting the chef, preparing coffee, and maintaining cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations. We are hiring immediately for part‑time positions. Responsibilities Prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts; help prepare catering orders. Perform cashier duties using the POS system. Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas. Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving. Ensure cash accuracy, maintain receipts, and make deposits at the end of each shift. Inventory and restock supplies and food products. Set up serving lines, verify temperatures within acceptable ranges, notify cooks if temperatures are not acceptable. Serve hot and cold items to customers. Set up items for purchase daily. Keep refrigerators stocked and rotate products using first‑in, first‑out. Stock pantries with correct par levels and record replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms. Perform other duties as assigned. Location & Schedule 124 Cascade Street, Mars Hill, NC 28754 Part‑time schedules; Monday through Friday, hours may vary; Sunday evenings included. Requirements Previous food service experience preferred. Willing to learn and be trained. Ability to work flexible part‑time hours.
