MRI Technologist (PRN)

Role Overview: The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while producing high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment. They operate MRI equipment, prepare patients, and assist with procedures, following established protocols and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Obtain complete clinical history, review images, and assess patient conditions. Ensure proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort during procedures. Prepare and position patients, administer contrast when appropriate, and follow pre- and post-procedural care protocols. Operate MRI equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain equipment cleanliness and safety. Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety using AIDET principles. Assist in training staff, participate in quality control, and maintain documentation accuracy. Transport, support, and ensure proper patient preparation for imaging studies. Perform clerical duties like patient charging and restocking supplies, maintaining a safe environment. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of clinical experience, preferably in MRI. Certification as an ARMRIT or ARRT-MR and BLS certification required. Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MRI procedures, anatomy, pathology, and safety protocols.
