Case Mix: Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, ICU

FACILITY INFORMATION

Trauma Level: Level II
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff Available: 6 Physicians, 12 Advanced Providers

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Trauma surgery
Emergency general surgery
ICU care
Outpatient surgical follow-ups

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board Certified (or Board Eligible accepted)
Licenses: Active IA License or Universal License (IMLC)
Fellowship: Fellowship Trained in Critical Care
Other Qualifications: Must be able to perform trauma surgery (not only EGS); Clean malpractice/background

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide shift-based trauma and emergency general surgery coverage in a Level II Trauma center.
Rotate weekly clinic coverage (1 day/week).
Provide ICU coverage as needed.
Participate in teaching of residents (teaching facility).
Perform surgical procedures and outpatient follow-ups.
