Registered Nurse (RN) – Role Overview The RN provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system. As a leader on the healthcare team, the RN delivers professional nursing care that aligns with ERC Pathlight’s standards of care, policies, and procedures while maintaining quality and flexibility in alignment with our vision, mission, and strategic plan. The RN may be required to work on‑call shifts based on business needs in accordance with applicable labor laws. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Perform a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, administering treatment, and evaluating patient response to care in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan Perform initial intake assessment of new patients and discharge reconciliation and education Place, receive, and complete provider orders per policy Administer medications via multiple routes in accordance with policy and provider orders Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point‑of‑care testing in accordance with policy and lab vendor protocols Place/maintain nasogastric tubes and administer enteral feeding Place/maintain intravenous access and administer intravenous fluids Perform wound care Document all direct patient care, monitoring, and observation in the electronic medical record Supervise and delegate care to Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians Communicate and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patient Ensure care aligns with the individualized treatment plan and patient outcome goals Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings regarding patient progress toward treatment goals and planning for continued or changing clinical interventions Document and report to treatment team regarding patient status and progress Participate in training, teaching, and mentoring new nursing department teammates Respond to emergency situations until emergency medical services (EMS/911) arrive on scene Must Haves Active Registered Nurse License in the state of employment (Required) Basic Life Support certification (Required) Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (Required) Ability to remain calm in stressful situations (Required) Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (Required) Bonus Qualities 1 year or more working with patients in the mental health field (Preferred) Compensation Colorado pay range: $40 – $49 USD What We Offer At ERC Pathlight, caring for people is our mission and that begins with caring for our own team.
