Staff Nurse RN
We are currently seeking a part-time Staff Nurse RN (0.9 FTE: 4-5 days/week, 8 hour shifts) for our Cancer Center in downtown Minneapolis to work day shift. This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow.
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
