About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Faculty Development to provide strategic leadership and support in advancing faculty excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and management of the vision, mission, and activities of the faculty development institutes, as well as collaborating with academic leaders and faculty to identify and address development needs. This role involves leading institution-wide initiatives that promote academic innovation, curricular transformation, and the adoption of evolving educational models. The Executive Director will also serve as a central resource for faculty engagement in shared governance, develop and facilitate professional development opportunities, and design mentorship and peer-learning structures to foster leadership development. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Doctorate in Education or a closely related field, with at least 10 years of higher education instructional experience. In-depth knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional approaches, and assessment techniques is essential, as is the ability to transfer theory into practice and a strong understanding of educational practices within health sciences. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of past faculty development experience, proficiency in delivering training in various formats, and a proven track record of using assessment data to drive continuous improvement in faculty development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate business competencies such as collaboration, resilience, trust, and a strong focus on customer-centric solutions.
