Director of Maintenance & Reliability

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance & Reliability to lead maintenance operations for a large-scale industrial manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies that maximize equipment reliability, operational efficiency, safety, and asset performance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing or continuous-process environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all maintenance and reliability functions across the facility.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies focused on safety, uptime, reliability, and cost control.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS utilization, and work-order management.
• Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and reliability initiatives.
• Establish and track maintenance KPIs including PM compliance, schedule compliance, MTBF, MTTR, backlog management, and equipment reliability.
• Provide technical oversight of critical facility infrastructure and utility systems.
• Manage maintenance budgets, capital planning, contractors, and spare parts inventory.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support production goals.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of maintenance, reliability, engineering, or technical operations leadership experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, food production, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, utilities, or other continuous-process environments.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies.
• Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, scheduling, and KPI management.
• Technical expertise with industrial equipment, utility systems, HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, motors, piping, and rotating equipment.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or related field preferred.

Work Environment

Combination office and industrial/manufacturing facility environment. Position may require occasional after-hours support for maintenance events, projects, or operational emergencies.
