Delaney Radiology is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our dedicated team! As a Scheduling Coordinator , you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. Your responsibilities will include scheduling patient appointments, managing incoming calls, relaying messages, and supporting a variety of administrative functions. While the role requires on-site presence during the initial training period, it offers the potential to transition to remote work upon successful completion of training. Key Responsibilities: Schedule patient appointments for various radiology procedures Verify patient demographics and appointment details, and update records accordingly Confirm appointments and provide patients with prep instructions and facility location Answer incoming phone lines promptly, screen calls, take messages, and relay information to fellow coworkers, physicians, and supervisors as needed Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Delaney scheduling protocols, radiology CPT and ICD-10 codes, and a thorough understanding of all information systems required to perform duties Follow up with referring physicians' offices for any information needed to schedule exams Communicate with the Insurance Authorization team regarding any changes in patient information or exams as necessary Position Requirements: Minimum one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or radiology setting. Must possess strong communication skills, empathy, and patience. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential in this position, as is a commitment to confidentiality. Familiarity with medical terminology and health insurance processes is a plus.
