Registered Nurse – ICU / Critical Care Float Pool

Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30); 4x12-hour schedule may also be considered | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities
Float to all critical care units within a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated academic teaching facility to meet census and staffing needs.
Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting, including management of ventilated patients, IV access, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
Interpret and manage dysrhythmias with proficiency — candidates will be tested on telemetry interpretation.
Document all patient care accurately using Epic (Epic experience is required; hard-stop charting environment).
Adhere to facility compliance requirements, including completing all required onboarding modules prior to start date.
Observe holiday scheduling requirements — expected to work 2 of 3 designated holidays during the contract period.

Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Washington State RN license (pending licenses not accepted).
Minimum 3 years of critical care (ICU) experience, including Level I Trauma Center experience; ICU experience must be within the last year.
Academic/teaching facility experience required.
Proficiency in ventilator management, IV insertion, telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management, and conscious sedation.
Required certifications: BLS (BCLS) and ACLS.
Epic EMR experience required.
Local candidates are welcome.

Preferred Experience / Skills
TNCC certification preferred.
Experience with intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring.
Experience with pulmonary artery (PA) lines.
