Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Georgia. This assignment offers a collaborative Emergency Department environment with strong specialty support, daily APP coverage, and no call responsibilities.

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based Emergency Department
• Epic EMR with Dragon and DAX
• Strong specialty support

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a broad range of emergency conditions
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
• Collaborate with consulting specialists

Department Details

• Approximately 40,000 annual ED visits
• 310-bed hospital
• 30 Emergency Department beds
• 38 physician coverage hours daily
• 24 hours of NP/PA coverage daily

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
• DEA with Georgia address
• ACLS and PALS required
• ATLS required (not required if ABEM certified)
• Clinical activity/case logs for the past 2 years
• CME/CEU documentation (20 hours per year for the past 2 years)

Credentialing

• Temporary privileges available
• TB screening required
• Flu vaccine required during flu season
