Director of Healthcare Operations

We are conducting a confidential search for a Director of Healthcare Operations to lead day-to-day operational performance for a healthcare organization based in Salt Lake City. This is a director-level, on-site opportunity for an operations leader who can drive throughput, quality, and cost performance across clinical and administrative operations.

In this role, you will own operational performance across assigned facilities or service lines, including patient access, throughput, staffing, and cost management. You will lead process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, manage relationships with clinical department leaders and physician stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation). You will oversee capacity planning and patient flow across departments, and lead capital and operating budget planning for assigned areas.

You will build and lead a team of operations managers and supervisors, partner with quality, revenue cycle, and clinical leadership on cross-functional initiatives, and represent operations in leadership and board-level performance reviews. You will also drive patient experience and staff engagement improvement programs across the operation.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a multi-site hospital or health system operations role
• Lean/Six Sigma or process improvement certification
• Background managing physician and clinical staff relationships
• Experience with Joint Commission or CMS accreditation surveys
• Track record of measurable throughput or cost-of-care improvement
