CT Technologist I
The CT Technologist I provides computed tomography and diagnostic radiography services to patients as ordered by the physician according to established standards and practices. This role serves as a resource to other technologists. May prepare patient for imaging by administering contrast through intravenous or other methods within scope of practice. This individual must be familiar with Image Gently and ALARA practices to promote low dose, high diagnostic quality exams. The CT Technologist must be focused on age-appropriate care and high standards of customer services. Must be able to address family and patient concerns and facilitate a family-centered care approach.
Pay Range: Minimum $37.61 Midpoint $49.84 Maximum $62.06
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience:
Required: Newly graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program with less than six (6) months clinical experience in CT.
Preferred: One (1) year of acute care technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital.
Education:
Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology; Graduate from an approved education program in Computed Tomography or equivalent experience/cross-training.

Ability to work under pressure. Able to be a team player; exhibit compassion for the pediatric patient/parents.

Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Post Primary Certification (ARRT-CT) - required within nine (9) months of hire or transfer.; Basic Life Support (BLS); Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT); California Fluoroscopy Certification (CRF); Venipuncture Certificate.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:
Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
