Job Title Shipping Clerk Job Overview The Shipping Clerk is responsible for real‑time analysis and assisting the coordination and balance of Shipping Operations. The Shipping Clerk will also monitor and document all productivity measurements, support the Shipping Manager/Lead to ensure all tasks are ready for the production crew, and support the Shipping Manager/Lead to ensure all end‑of‑day (EOD) tasks are completed. Other responsibilities include: Responsible for real‑time analysis, coordination, and balance of Shipping Operations. Collects and records current productivity numbers and reports them to the Shipping Manager. Monitors and tracks attendance daily. Reports, researches and resolves issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner. Provides administrative support for the Shipping Manager/Lead. Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all Shipping technology. Performs additional duties as requested. Supports Shipping Manager/Leads as needed. Schedule Monday – Friday (Saturdays as required), 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Core Competencies & Expertise To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate strengths in the following skill areas: Ability to communicate proactively and effectively, including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and possessing knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures required by the position. General knowledge and understanding of warehouse/distribution center operations. Skilled at multi‑tasking and managing competing priorities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trends and patterns in productivity data. Strong attention to detail and organization. Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Ability to communicate proactively and effectively, including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and possessing knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures required by the position. Skilled at multi‑tasking and managing competing priorities. Working knowledge of Word and Excel. Detail oriented and accurate. Ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trends and patterns in productivity data. Prior experience in a warehouse environment. Prior experience in an administrative role. Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s. Physical Demands Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center. Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations. Sit, stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
