AR Collections Specialist

We are looking for an AR Collections Specialist to join a finance team in El Segundo, California on a Long-term Contract basis. This position focuses on managing receivables, resolving overdue balances, and supporting account accuracy through careful review and follow-up. The ideal candidate brings strong collections experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and customers to reduce risk and improve cash flow.Responsibilities:• Manage outstanding accounts receivable balances by reviewing aging reports, researching discrepancies, and driving timely collection activity.• Communicate directly with customers to resolve past-due invoices and secure payment commitments through effective negotiation.• Reconcile account activity to identify payment issues, short pays, and unapplied items, then take appropriate corrective action.• Partner with operations, sales, and finance teams to address account concerns and help reduce exposure to financial risk.• Prepare account analyses and reporting that support collection efforts, account review, and management decisions.• Evaluate delinquent balances and recommend next steps, including escalation or referral to outside collection resources when appropriate.• Contribute to departmental initiatives and complete additional assignments or special projects as needed by management.
