Senior Pastor

Philippi Baptist Church is nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Cleveland, Tennessee. We are a Southern Baptist congregation with more than 150 active members and regular attendees.
Our worship reflects a traditional Southern Gospel style, using both the Baptist Hymnal and the red-back Church Hymnal. We value faithful, expository preaching from the inerrant Word of God and use the King James Version in our worship services.
Philippi gathers for worship and Bible study on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesdays. Throughout the week, our church facilities are regularly filled with ministry and fellowship activities for all ages. God has blessed us with a beautiful facility that provides significant opportunities for future ministry and growth.
We are committed to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and desire to remain faithful to the truth of Scripture. Some call us “Old Fashion” and that’s ok!

• Is committed to gospel-centered growth and discipleship
• Values meaningful ministry and outreach within the community
• Demonstrates humility and a servant’s heart
• Has a genuine love for Jesus Christ and His Church
