- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified, trauma level 2, and PEDs level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. There are an average of 15-16 patients per shift. The NICU is seeking NNP coverage to help staff a 24-bed Level IIIB unit, with existing providers working 24-hour in-house shifts. Locum coverage is needed for daytime shifts, 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Sunday, ideally on a 7-on/7-off schedule, though there is flexibility to cover two full-time equivalents while recruitment continues. NNPs will assist with resuscitations, deliveries, morning rounding and note documentation with residents, procedures including optional circumcisions using Plastibell, and consults for babies over 28 weeks gestation, with younger cases considered as appropriate. The unit has skilled transport RNs trained in lines, ultrasound-guided IVs, and intubations, and equipment includes C-MAC, NICView, with plans to add a neonatal GlideScope for intubation support.
