Pay The starting hourly pay for this position ranges from $20.50 to $22.50. The full hourly pay range extends from $20.50 to $34.85. About Food & Beverage The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent experience for guests by keeping products fresh, in stock, accurately priced, and correctly signed on the sales floor. The team leads food and food services, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, price accuracy, and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store. Role Overview The Food & Beverage Team Leader can develop skills such as: Guest service fundamentals and building a guest‑first and freshness culture. Food & Beverage business fundamentals, including department sales trends, freshness, food safety and quality, inventory management, item reliability, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions strategies. Planning daily/weekly workload to support Food & Beverage priorities and deliver sales goals. Leading a team of hourly team members, including interviewing, training, coaching, evaluating, retaining, and developing talent. Responsibilities Consistently deliver guest‑experience commitments and create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience. Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest‑experience commitments and operations. Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest‑experience moments. Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align the team on expectations and execution. Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement. Lead a guest‑focused, efficient Food & Beverage team and complete the Food & Beverage Daily Standards walk. Assess backroom and sales floor areas daily by walking the Food & Beverage Standards, prioritize needs, and review reporting for trends. Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable. Partner with store leadership through communication and collaboration to influence sales performance. Maintain a fresh, full, and food‑safe area during all operating hours, leveraging inventory management and policies. Assign daily tasks based on workload and guest traffic patterns. Validate and follow up on team members’ progress against assigned tasks and best practices. Lead and demonstrate a culture of best practices, coaching, training, and development. Lead team huddles to communicate focuses and trends. Develop and maintain vendor partnerships and ensure brand standards are met. Remain up‑to‑date on relevant trends and products and educate the team. Assist in hiring and onboarding of new team members. Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick up, and Drive‑up, maintaining compliance culture. Be a subject‑matter expert in adult beverage laws to protect the store’s liquor license. Uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards, fostering partnership with district managers. Complete all required trainings and certifications, such as Food Safety Manager Certification. Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Model safety culture, recognize safe behaviors, and manage incidents. Model physical security procedures. Support merchandise protection strategies. Demonstrate inclusivity. Follow all safe and secure training and processes. Assume store‑level leadership on duty when required. Address all store emergency and compliance requirements. Perform all other duties as needed. Qualifications Enjoy interacting and helping others—including guests and teammates. Thrives in a fast‑moving, highly active and physically demanding role. Open to a variable work schedule with nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and peak times. At least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required. Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business. Lead and hold others accountable. Communicate via multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment. Work independently and as part of a team. Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently. Remain focused and composed during fast‑paced tasks and meet timeframes. Possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates. Effective communication skills. Core Expectations Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues. Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately. Handle cash register operations as needed. Climb ladders when required. Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, lifting up to 44 pounds as needed. Maintain a flexible work schedule and reliable attendance. Work in refrigeration and freezer temperatures with potential allergens. Perform duties in varying temperatures, humidity, and other conditions. Maintain mobility throughout scheduled shifts.
