Position Overview This role focuses heavily on guest relations, hospitality, and maintaining a professional hotel environment. The ideal candidate is approachable, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate confidently with hotel guests, management, and staff. This is not a traditional security guard position. We are seeking hospitality-minded individuals who understand professionalism, customer service, and creating a positive guest experience. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests and visitors Maintain a professional and welcoming presence throughout the property Assist guests with directions, questions, and general support Help maintain a safe, calm, and professional environment Work closely with hotel management and staff Conduct routine property walk throughs and visibility patrols Assist with de-escalation and conflict resolution when needed Complete basic incident reports and daily activity logs Uphold appearance, communication, and hospitality standards Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Hospitality, hotel, concierge, restaurant, or guest service experience preferred Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Reliable transportation and punctuality Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Security experience is a plus, but not required Training Provided California Guard Card assistance/certification Hospitality and customer service training Hotel safety procedures Report writing and incident documentation Professional de-escalation training Schedule & Compensation Starting at $22/hour based on experience Part-time opportunities available Evening, overnight, and weekend availability preferred Growth opportunities within the company Why Join J&A Group Services?
