STATUS: Non-Exempt, hourly, part-time, less than 30 hours REPORTS TO : Dining Services Manager & Director of
GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Server is responsible for table service in the community dining rooms. Primary Job Duties Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests. Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order. Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service. Keep work areas clean and orderly. Maintain neat and clean appearance and practice good personal hygiene Complete opening and/or closing side work in a timely manner. Can be relied upon to be at work on time. Follows established time clock procedures as per department guidelines. Does not incur unauthorized overtime. Works an on-call rotation, as developed by the Dining Services Manager, with a 24/7 availability during that time to provide coverage to the community. Qualifications Experience Preferred Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. Experience serving tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train. Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
