Check out our available opportunity below.The Production Forklift Driver is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the production facility in a safe and efficient manner. This position supports production operations by ensuring timely delivery and staging of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods. The Forklift Driver must follow all safety guidelines, adhere to operational procedures, and maintain proper documentation for inventory movement.Education: High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Experience / Qualifications:Valid forklift certification required.Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating forklifts in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of material handling procedures and safety standards.Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.Duties and Responsibilities: Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.Safely operate forklift.Receive all cans and ingredients through Assistics software to include scanning and stickering.Maintain inventory accuracy and FIFO.Supply proper cans & lids to each production line running, consult Daily Schedule & MMF for requirements.Unload & receive cans, Ingredients, etc. following all production & safety procedures.Keep inventory of brine ingredients on the 3rd floor and can room racks and rows.Keep the can room organized and orderly as well as the outside dock area.Check the Forklift and fill out Forklift safety check list at the beginning of every shift.Notify the Purchasing Department of any unusually low inventory of cans, lids, or ingredients.Perform general maintenance on forklift, report any mechanical issues for needed repairs immediately.Must follow all GMP's associated with this position.Empty trash hoppers as needed – clean and sanitize before returning to service.Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere by acting, communicating and helping co-workers.Cooperate and do any other job assigned by supervisorSkills and Abilities:Must be neat and orderlyAccurate when filling out forms and keeping inventoriesCapable of competent and safe forklift operation.Physical Requirements:Standing: OccasionalWalking: OccasionalSitting: Frequent to ContinuousLifting: Occasional (heavy duty position / ability to lift 50lbs+)Carrying: NAClimbing: FrequentClimbing Stairs: MinimalClimbing ladders: NACrawling: NAWorking in kneeling position: NAWorking with arms extended at shoulder level or above: ContinuousTwisting and Turning: Frequent to continuousReaching: ContinuousBending: OccasionalDriving: Frequent to Continuous (forklift)Pushing and Pulling: OccasionalHand Movement: Manual dexteritySimple grasping: frequentFine manipulation: NAOperating Equipment: Continuous- ForkliftPosition Requirements: Must be certified by OSHA as a certified Forklift Driver.Work Schedule:This position typically follows the hours of the shift scheduled to work; however, working days may vary based on season. Typically, Monday through Friday.
