Job Summary As an RN , you will monitor and coordinate all nursing and medical care of patients in the absence of the Director of Nursing. This role is responsible for providing medical services directly to patients and maintaining the appropriate records and medical files per state and federal regulations. Pay Range $33/hour to $37/hour Benefits 18 days PTO (Paid Time Off) 401(k) with company match Company-sponsored ongoing training and certification opportunities Full comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability, and accident insurance Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) Discounted tuition and scholarships through Capella University Requirements Registered Nurse in the state of employment Prior experience with chemical addiction and/or mental health disease including psychopharmacology CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification Minimum of one (1) year experience working in substance abuse and/or mental health field The ability to triage in an emergency, assisting nurses as needed Preferred Three (3) year experience with chemical addiction and/or mental disorders including psychopharmacotherapy Responsibilities Screen and assess each patient for co-existing medical problems and risk factors influencing placement for treatment Administer medications/treatments as ordered, in accordance with state and federal regulations Ensure accurate recording of medication administration transactions Ensure the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed Facilitate and educate patients in group processes to address chemical dependency, infectious disease, medical and mental health issues Administer, interpret, and accurately document Mantoux test results Assess patient response to treatments and medications, including interactions and effectiveness Document and summarize individual nursing care for each patient; communicate changes and progress to the provider for follow‑up consultation Order medical supplies, maintain inventory and record use per regulations Maintain all medical records, including individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, and doctor’s orders Arrange appointments for patients to see physicians; obtain lab work and confirm appointment adherence Counsel patients regarding personal hygiene, abnormal lab results, HIV/AIDS testing, and other medical matters Discuss important treatment changes or behavioral patterns with the physician and team Provide referral for specialized care at local health centers and follow‑up on attendance and treatment Assist in organizing transfers of patients to and from different levels of care Assist in training teammates in medical conditions, responses, and patient care Maintain continuing education credits required by the Board of Nursing Attend team meetings and complete all training courses on time as required Assist doctors during physical examinations as needed Keep the medication room clean and orderly; maintain medical equipment Other duties as assigned Join our team.
