PREP COOK

Description As a member of our prep team, your work will set the restaurant up for the day. You will ensure all ingredients are prepared to our standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Cleanliness, safety, sanitation is a must. Prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes, including chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning. Assist with basic cooking tasks such as blanching, par-cooking, and assembling components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, storage areas, and equipment. Label, date, and store food items properly to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, temperature control, and cleaning procedures. Support line cooks and chefs by replenishing ingredients and completing prep lists. Operate kitchen equipment safely (mixers, slicers, ovens, knives, etc.). Receive and store deliveries, verifying quality and quantity of products. Communicate any shortages, quality issues, or equipment problems to kitchen leadership. Requirements Education & Experience Previous experience in a full-service restaurant. Great communication skills. An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and within a team. Must be 18 years or older Physical Demands Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds (including trash bags). Position requires prolonged standing, bending, twisting, carrying of objects and repetitive hand and wrist motions. Working with hot, cold and hazardous materials and equipment.
