What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities) Execute Hand Welding: Perform manual hand welding (MIG/TIG/Arc) to join custom metal stampings, forming dies, fixtures, prototypes, and laser-cut assemblies. Perform Metal Finishing & Grinding: Utilize pneumatic and electric grinders, sanders, and deburring tools to smooth welds, blend seams, remove flash, and prepare metal surfaces for final finishing. Inspect Weld Quality: Audit completed weld joints and structural fabrications visually to ensure compliance with strict ISO quality standards and customer specifications. Maintain Fixtures & Workstations: Set up, align, and maintain manual welding fixtures, positioning equipment, and hand tools while upholding clean 5S shop organization. Support Team Production Goals: Collaborate with supervisors and shop floor teammates to keep high-priority production runs on schedule, taking advantage of optional overtime hours during peak manufacturing demands. What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications) Welding & Finishing Background: Practical exposure or background in hand welding, metal grinding, deburring, or shop fabrication preferred (willing to train candidates with exceptional mechanical aptitude and work ethic).
