Job Summary As a Customer Service Representative – Technical Products , you will play a critical role supporting rail transit systems that keep communities moving. Serving as the primary point of contact for customers, you will coordinate quotations, manage orders, and facilitate solutions by working closely with engineering, supply chain, product management, and factory teams. In this role, you will act as the customer's advocate within the organization, ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly, quotations are delivered accurately, and issues are resolved efficiently. This contract-to-hire position provides valuable exposure to commercial operations, technical products, and enterprise business systems. Key Responsibilities Customer Support & Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to parts, services, and technical equipment. Build and maintain positive relationships with customer technical, maintenance, operations, and procurement teams. Provide timely, accurate responses to service inquiries and proactively communicate order status, quotation updates, delivery schedules, and issue resolution progress. Act as the customer's advocate by coordinating internal resources to solve complex customer concerns. Quotation & Order Management Receive and process customer requests for quotations (RFQs). Collaborate with engineering, product management, sourcing, and factory teams to gather pricing, lead times, and technical specifications. Create and manage sales orders, purchase orders, and order revisions in SAP . Track order status to support on‑time shipment, invoicing, and fulfillment while maintaining accurate customer records. Problem Resolution & Internal Coordination Research customer inquiries and coordinate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver technical and commercial solutions. Work cross‑functionally with logistics, sourcing, and factory teams to resolve delivery delays or technical issues. Coordinate responses to customer requests for product documentation, technical schematics, replacement parts, and service support. Reporting & Compliance Prepare periodic reports tracking quotations, open orders, backlog, and customer metrics. Adhere to corporate compliance standards, business policies, and procedures. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Requirements Basic Qualifications Experience: Prior experience in customer service, inside sales support, order management, or a customer‑facing role.. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Sacramento, CA . Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams). Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Skills: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and proven ability to multi‑task under deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Industry Background: Prior exposure in industrial, manufacturing, technical support, utility, transportation, electrical, or service‑oriented environments. ERP Experience: Hands‑on experience with SAP or another enterprise ERP system. Technical Aptitude: Ability (or desire to learn) to read basic technical drawings, product documentation, or electrical schematics.
