Telecommunications Specialist

Responsible for accurate and timely plant record updates, the full-time Telecommunications Specialist will organize and coordinate plant and device cutovers while working remotely across multiple states. Key responsibilities Build and update computer-based records of outside plant and switching equipment, ensuring high accuracy and integrity Interpret maps, staking sheets, and cut sheets, collaborating with engineering and field service teams to facilitate timely data creation Provide support to various teams including OSP Records, Engineering, and Service Activation, while assisting with project work and report generation Required qualifications Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years of professional work experience Understanding of telecommunications industry standards and practices Knowledge of Outside Plant standards and network devices Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as maps and cut sheets Proficiency in relevant software applications including MS Office and CAD-based programs
