Job Opportunity: Nocturnist Psychiatrist

Our organization, affiliated with a prominent medical institution, is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) as a Nocturnist. This position is based in the culturally rich community of Western Queens.

Position Overview

The Nocturnist will be expected to work 3-4 overnight shifts during weekdays or weekends, totaling a 40-hour work week. A strong interest in collaborating with residents is crucial. This role not only offers the chance to teach but also allows for engagement with a diverse patient population, enhancing the clinical experience. The location in Western Queens provides convenient access from various parts of NYC, Westchester, and Long Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric care as part of the CPEP team.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring residents.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Valid New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a faculty appointment with the affiliated medical school that aligns with your credentials and experience. This position includes:

  • A competitive salary ranging from $289,000 to $299,000, including a sign-on bonus.
