This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.Forklift Operator Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner; must be qualified to properly operate the forkliftLocate stock before the start of the runUnload and load trucks in a careful and responsible mannerComplete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely mannerMaximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speedMaintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areasAdhere to daily production schedule; make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goalsComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeepingManuel floor dock: must lift floor chain independently with hands or with king pin puller to pick up and close dock floor securelyForklift Operator Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredPrior work experience in the corrugated industry preferredPrior work experience as a forklift operator and currently certifiedPrevious manual labor experience is a mustRoutinely lift to 55 pounds and multi-task to keep up with tight production schedulesSit for prolonged periodLifting floor chain to open floor dockAbility to read and comprehend written, oral, and graphic form of instructionsAbility to read a tape measureBasic math skills are requiredStrong attention to detailStrong work ethics and excellent attendance will be the key to long-term success
