Travel Med Surg RN – 13‑week Assignment Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Marietta, Georgia. The RN will deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care in medical‑surgical and telemetry units. Summary The Med Surg Registered Nurse delivers high‑quality care, assesses patient health, monitors cardiac telemetry, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams. Essential Work Functions Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards. Conduct comprehensive assessments, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team. Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians, and monitor responses. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical or surgical conditions. Document comprehensive patient information in the medical record. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans. Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing care based on acuity. Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed. Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences. Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with external resources. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications One year of recent Med Surg RN experience. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification. Preferred Qualifications NIHSS certification. ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification. Other certifications and licenses may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading and following written and verbal instructions. PC skills. Physical Abilities Remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), and perform basic mobility tasks. Interpersonal Skills Work effectively with a variety of personnel, demonstrating professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills Operate fine manipulation tasks during procedures. Mental Requirements Handle frequent public contact within deadlines under pressure. Work under supervision and independently as the situation requires.
