Job Title: Hematologist/Oncologist Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Duration: Permanent, Full-Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with slight variations possible Experience: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology (Board Certified preferred) License: South Carolina License (or willing to obtain) Certifications: DEA, CSR/CDS Must-Have: Completed fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology Clean malpractice license history Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) Visa support required: J1 or H1B Description: We are seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist for a Cancer Center. The region is a fast-growing and diverse area with approximately 185,000 residents. Candidates can be Board Eligible or Board Certified, but Board Certified is highly preferred due to the complexity of the practice. The physician will be the primary provider onsite until a second provider is hired. This is a full-time position covering outpatient clinic with very few hospital rounds. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours weekly. On-call coverage will include practice call and inpatient care for Oncology patients, with no weekend responsibilities. The practice is currently in a phase of rebuilding. The facility handles approximately 1200 new cancer cases annually. The average number of patients seen per day is between 15-25. This is a state-of-the-art Cancer Center with accreditation since 1984. It features an on-site Radiation Oncology department and robust supportive oncology services. There is a 24-bay outpatient Oncology infusion department with on-site pharmacists. On-site laboratory services are available, along with access to nationwide clinical trials. Relocation may be necessary, and the position requires residency within the immediate local area. We are not open to commuters or those seeking secondary employment. This position is also open to candidates requiring visa support. We do not accept locum candidates or those with lapsed Board Certification.
