ABOUT THE POSITION

AMJ SONS ENTERPRISE LLC is a newly established and growing transportation company. We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious 26' box truck driver who understands what it means to join a startup carrier and wants the opportunity to grow with us.

We believe in being transparent from the beginning. Because we are building our freight network, customer/broker relationships, and lanes, weekly freight volume, miles, routes, schedules, and earnings may vary. We do not currently guarantee dedicated lanes, weekly miles, loads, hours, or a fixed weekly salary.

This is an OTR position and requires staying away from home for multiple days when necessary.

COMPENSATION

Drivers start at 20% of qualifying load revenue for each successfully completed load .

The starting percentage may be reviewed for an increase based on safe driving, reliability, communication, on-time performance, professionalism, proper care of equipment, overall job performance, and company growth. Percentage increases are not automatic or guaranteed.

Additional Pay

• Detention: Driver receives 100% of detention compensation actually received by the company.
• Layover: Driver receives 100% of layover compensation actually received by the company.
• TONU: Driver receives 100% of applicable TONU compensation actually received by the company when the driver was dispatched on the load.
• Reimbursements: Company/load expense reimbursements, including lumper fees, toll reimbursements, and similar pass-through expenses, are not included in the driver's 20% calculation .

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a 26' box truck on OTR routes
• Complete pickups and deliveries safely and on time
• Maintain communication with dispatch/company management
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Properly secure and protect freight
• Follow applicable DOT/FMCSA and Hours-of-Service requirements
• Properly use the company's ELD when required
• Operate a liftgate and pallet jack when necessary
• Complete required paperwork/documentation
• Maintain the cleanliness and condition of company equipment
• Immediately report accidents, citations, damage, mechanical issues, or safety concerns
• Maintain professional conduct with brokers, shippers, receivers, and customers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous 26' box truck or comparable commercial straight-truck experience
• OTR or comparable professional driving experience
• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle
• Clean or acceptable driving record
• Meet applicable DOT/FMCSA driver qualification requirements
• Maintain required DOT medical certification when applicable
• Familiarity with ELDs and applicable Hours-of-Service requirements
• Knowledge of pre-trip/post-trip inspections and freight securement
• Comfortable using a liftgate and pallet jack
• Willing to stay OTR for multiple days
• Dependable, safety-conscious, flexible, and professional
• Strong communication and time-management skills

This position is best for someone who understands that freight and weekly earnings may fluctuate , is comfortable with percentage-per-load compensation, and wants an opportunity to grow with a smaller transportation company from the beginning.

If you require guaranteed dedicated lanes, guaranteed weekly miles, or a fixed weekly salary, this position may not be the right fit at this time.
