Job Description: This travel opportunity places you in a busy intensive care unit at a reputable teaching hospital located in Concord, North Carolina. As an RN on the resource team, you’ll manage critically ill patients suffering from conditions like STEMI, cardiogenic shock, or those recovering from thoracic surgeries such as CABG and valve replacements. Your role involves overseeing invasive lines, ventilators, and vasoactive medications, with an emphasis on safety and precision. The unit features 14 private rooms, including negative pressure options, and operates 24/7 support with intensivists and RT staff on hand. The shift is 12 hours overnight, with an every-other-weekend schedule, and you’ll work through holidays about 75% of the time. This assignment is ideal for experienced Critical Care RNs comfortable managing advanced devices like Impella and IABP, with opportunities to float between several regionally located facilities. You’ll experience an engaging environment focused on high-level patient management in a fast-paced setting.
