Sales Consultant

Job Summary The Sales Associate will sell La‑Z‑Boy products and services, use customer service skills, achieve store sales goals, and maintain customer loyalty and high‑level service. Compensation Base salary $45,864. No commission during the 2–6 week training period. Following training, annual earnings are $60,000–$100,000 with uncapped monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales. Key Responsibilities Interact with customers appropriately and professionally, providing the highest level of customer service. Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals through selling furniture, accessories, and services. Complete all sales paperwork and resolve customer service issues in a timely manner. Attend and participate in company training and store meetings. Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling processes. Accurately record order information, collect deposits and fees, maintain customer records, and track payments and deliveries. Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to harassment, attendance, sales processes, and customer interaction. Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes. Maintain a sales average consistent with company standards. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication, rapport building, and positive influence. Vocational or technical training in a relevant field of study. Physical ability to bend, lift, and stand for long periods. Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes. Preferred Requirements Previous selling experience and proven ability to close a sale. Organizational and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with computer technology.
